INTRODUCTION

THE MILL METHOD EXPANDS ON THE LEARNINGS OF THE RESILIENCE #101 SEMINAR.

THE MILL METHOD IS A COMPREHENSIVE 2 X 8-HOUR TRAINING SEMINAR WHICH ANALYSES THE RESILIENCE DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK FOR COACHING AND SELF-COACHING. WE USE PHYSICAL TRAINING METHODOLOGIES TO ILLUSTRATE THE CONCEPTS AND PROCESSES DISCUSSED DURING THE RESILIENCE #101 SEMINAR.

THIS SEMINAR IS IDEAL FOR HELPING INDIVIDUALS DEVELOP THE MENTAL TOOLS TO PREPARE FOR AND OVERCOME ANY CHALLENGE THAT THEIR LIVES MAY PRESENT TO THEM. IT ALSO HELPS PARTICIPANTS TO DEVELOP SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND TOOLS TO HELP DEVELOP THEIR TEAMS.

METHOD IS OPEN TO:

  • ANYONE INTERESTED IN INCREASING THEIR KNOWLEDGE BASE TO IMPROVE THEIR OWN TRAINING,

  • FITNESS INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS LOOKING TO DEVELOP THEIR KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS.

  • ASPIRING THE MILL GYM TRAINERS SEEKING SELECTION AS A TRAINER AT THE MILL.

Students undertaking Method will have unique exposure to the operations of a high-performance ENVIRONMENTS. You will attain hands on skills and experience working with experienced instructors who conduct day-to-day training operations for our clients and members.

PRACTICAL HOURS

Note: the following information is only for students applying to become an accredited the mill coach or instructor.

Students must complete a minimum of 20 hours per Method level at The Mill to attain the qualification for each level.

The Method practical hours may include:

  1. Shadowing with a qualified trainer who is conducting scheduled (‘live’) 1-on-1 or group sessions (1-hour training = 1 - hour of Method practical time). Costs to the students for these sessions are included in the course fees.

  2. 1 - on - 1 sessions between student and qualified Method instructor. These sessions incur a 1 - on - 1 personal training (PT) fee. (1 - hour PT = 1 - hour of Method practical time);

  3. Student attendance to mindset and mental conditioning training events (1 - hour event time = 1 - hour of Method practical time). Students must pay entry for these events as required; and

  4. Exercise technique specific training events (rowing, running, kettlebell etc.) including qualification courses conducted by approved third parties (as a general rule 3-hours = 1 - hour of Method practical time). Students must pay entry for these THIrD PARTY events as required.

  5. This does not include mindset and mental conditioning training events, nor non-exercise technique related training events. E.g., shooting, or self-defenCe training etc.

ASSESSMENTS

  1. 8 x enabler practical assessments (practice tests on training techniques). Each of these techniques have a formal assessment criteria sheet which students will study, before being assessed.

  2. 8 x terminal practical assessments (pass/fail tests on training techniques) *. The assessments will be conducted against the formal assessment criteria sheets for the relevant techniques.

  3. 3 x theory assessments (pass/fail tests on training methodology, techniques and programming) *.

* Retests can only be conducted out of allocated Method seminar timings

ASSESSED TRAINING TECHNIQUES

CERTIFICATION

  1. Students who complete the Method training seminars (only) will receive a ‘Certificate of Attendance’, for each level that they have attended.

  2. Students who complete the Method training seminars, pass the theory and practical assessments and achieve the minimum number of practical hours, will receive the Mill Method Certification for each level that they have attended.

Note: Graduation from Method does not include the TCP, which is the process to qualify as an approved The Mill Trainer.
